Code of Ethics

The McKnight Brain Research Foundation is committed to:

  • Acting honestly, truthfully and with integrity in all transactions and dealings
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest and appropriately handling any conflicts of interest in all relationships
  • Treating all grantees fairly and treating every individual with dignity and respect
  • Being a good corporate citizen and complying with both the spirit and the letter of the law
  • Acting responsibly toward the professional communities we work with and for the benefit of the professional communities we serve
  • Being responsible, transparent, and accountable for all of our actions
  • Endeavoring to make policy decisions only after full discussion
  • Rendering all decisions based on the available facts and independent judgment, and refusing to surrender that judgment
  • Staying informed about pertinent issues by individual study and through participation in programs providing needed information relevant to the MBRF
  • Taking no private action that will compromise the Foundation, and respecting the confidentiality of information that is privileged under applicable law
